Welcome 2007. I look forward to making this a year of improvements. There are many things I try to improve upon this year. The most important being my health. I haven’t been getting enough sleep and lack of exercise in 2006. I’m hoping to make some improvement on that. I still say sleeping is a waste of time.

The Desktop
Leopard, Apple’s new operating system, is making it’s way to the hearts of all Mac lovers. It’s tag line “Advancing the world’s most advanced operating system.” Will it live up to its hype? Steve Jobs and Co. has a way of hyping up and making their products shine.
Time Machine
There are some great new features coming to the OSX. Where was Time Machine when I lost all my files when my hard drive crashed a few months back? This new app backs up everything and I mean everything. It’s got a nice 3D interface where you are able to go back and forth in time to retrieve your files. Pretty darn nifty if you asked me.
Spaces
Another nice little app I will be looking forward to is Spaces. I only have one monitor but have a hundred windows open at once. Spaces allow you to have multiple work space on your desktop. You can move from one space to the next at the click of the mouse. You can have one for working, You can have one for emailing, and one for internet. All the while be able to move easily between those created spaces. There are however, nice little apps that you can use until the release of Leopard. They are VirtueDesktops and Desktop Manager. I use Desktop Manager, it’s great, try it and let me know what you think.
..and 300 more features!

‘Tis the season to be thankful. There are many things that I am thankful for. One thing in particular are my sponsors. Without them I would not be here right now. God bless them.
My family and I are refugees of Laos. We came to the United States on January 29, 1979. Thanks to a very special family in Kingsport, Tennessee — The Scotts.
I don’t remember too much of my life in TN, but I do remember their generosity and love. They helped us learn the ways of being Americans. They helped us to be self sufficient. They even helped us to make do with what we got. Sadly, we only stayed with them for six months.
When we first arrived in Kingsport, it was snowing. “What is that?” I remember asking my parents. I was only five at the time. It was freezing! Luckily, the refugee camp gave us some coats before we came.
The next day, we were bombarded by reporters of the Kingsport Times. We were one of the few refugees to arrive in the area. I thought nothing of it and was too busy playing with the toy cars they gave us. They were asking my parents questions and taking lots of pictures.
I could only say two words in English; yes and no. When it was dinner time, I would just point at the things that I want to eat and my sponsors would give them to me. There was one package in particular that really caught my eye. I asked them if I can have some of that! Turns out, it was a box of dog food. Yummy!
I remember the good food, I remember the laughs, I remember the weird kid that licked juice off the table in school, and most importantly I remember the love that they have for us. There is no present that anyone can give me that would top bringing us out of poverty in Laos. For that, I am truly thankful.

Welcome to my blogging site “Be Like Water” (BLW). Here, I will discuss everything and anything that interests me. I would love to have you join in the discussions and comment on my blog. I am not a professional writer or claim to be one. I’m just an artist trying to do everything humanly possible. I am a HUGE Bruce Lee fan as some of you might have guessed already. “Be Like Water” was one of Bruce Lee’s philosophies. What it means is to be able and willing to adapt to your environment. “Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.” [1]
I will try to put new articles and writings up as time allows. Come back often, or if you would like, please subscribe to the RSS feed. Hope we can share some wonderful insights about life and anything contained within it.
Be Water My Friend.
